Considering we live in Ohio, it was pretty neat that we stumbled upon the Ohio Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas while visiting several weeks ago.

I wish I could give you a little history of the bar/restaurant in this post, but there’s not much on their website, and I didn’t bring home any information.

What I do remember, however, is that it is supposedly the oldest bar in Arkansas… And I will absolutely—without a doubt—never forget the tasty burger I had there, which had yummy jalepeños on it.

Turning Nothing Into Possibly Something

The originals of these two images were ridiculously ridiculous until I played around with them in Camera Raw yesterday. To give you an idea of how bad they were, imagine hand-holding a camera in an extremely low light atmosphere without using the flash—’nuff said.

Anyway, to get this artistic effect, all I really did was bump up the clarity and luminance to 100%.

I think these images would look cool in a bar.

Watermelon Art & Bread Spread

Well, photographing food is definitely a first for me, and I may just start practicing with it more.

Whoever carved this watermelon did an impressive job and has some talent as far as I’m concerned. My daughter thought so, too… So much so that she wanted to take a stab at this (hehehe!) the other day; I said no though because I was worried she would chop a finger off.
